POLYSCREED INDUSTRIAL FLOORING SCREED

POLYSCREED has been developed in conjunction with installation specialists to provide a tailor-made solution for the flooring industry.

The POLYSCREED system is supplied as 4-component kit, and is blended on site to give a non-solvent, polyurethane, cementitious screed. It cures to form a tough, durable textured floor surfacing with very good resistance to chemical attack.

The kit can be supplied with one of a range of coloured pigments to suit the requirements of the installer. The system will give a surface averaging 8mm thick with the finished screed having a slight texture effect for slip resistance.

POLYSCREED has been developed for use in wet process areas such as those found in food manufacturing plants, food preparation areas and the flooring of areas where chemicals are handled and manufactured.

For the best results all surfaces must be dry and free from dust or grease. New concrete must be fully cured. The surface of old concrete should be fully intact. If bonding to primed concrete, test the adhesion of the primer to the concrete as this interface can be a point of bond failure. In the light of these points MRI-Polytech recommends that the installer carries out the necessary testing for each site due to the variable nature of construction environments. Once any residual material cures it is rendered inert and the solid screed is non-hazardous. As a result it can be disposed of as building waste therefore reducing the need for expensive disposal options.
